Prinicipal's Message

Welcome and thank you for visiting Cadwallader School website.  We are one of the smallest schools in Evergreen School District with a population of approximately 400 students who come from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We value our small school status because it gives us an opportunity to foster close bonds and lasting relationships with students and families. Cadwallader has a reputation for academic achievement within a caring and nurturing environment.

Cadwallader teachers are highly qualified and exemplify the high standards that we have for our educators and our students. We strive to make learning relevant, interesting and motivating. We want our students to know about the larger world and the importance of “doing your best.” It takes discipline and goals to succeed, and our staff is committed to helping all students meet or exceed their goals within our standards based educational program.

This year, we reached our highest API score of 811, which represents a 32-point increase from the previous year and reflects growth in all major academic areas such as Math, English, and Science.  Also, we made significant academic growth within our student sub-populations including English Language Learners. We are proud of our record and continue to make substantial academic gains for all our students.

Mission Statement

Cadwallader provides an excellent education to all students. Our expectation and goal for each child is for him or her to read, write, and calculate proficiently, or at an advanced level. We want every child to translate these academic skills into meaningful goals for themselves and society on their way to becoming healthy successful adults.

Because of our diverse community, it is also important to be inclusive of all cultures. We provide an opportunity for parental involvement and community building. We model a tolerant, resourceful, and educationally motivated community where parents are partners in education and students understand the importance of learning.
