Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Students of the Dove Hill Community,

On the behalf of the faculty and the administration of Dove Hill School, we welcome you to another academic school year.  We take great pride in our school because we all work together for educational excellence for all of our students.  A reflection of this is in Dove Hill’s accomplishments as a California Distinguished School, a National Blue Ribbon School, and a Title 1 Academic Achieving School.  We are very proud of our accomplishments and we know that our school community is too.  It is only through our collaborative efforts that staff, students, and parents were able to achieve academic recognition like this.

As we continue to strive for educational excellence and improvement, we achieved an API (CA’s Academic Performance Index) of 797 in 2008.  This was a 13 point gain from our API from the previous year.  This was our personal best!  Overall, students at our school demonstrate high levels of achievement in comparison to similar schools in California.  However, we expect to achieve even higher levels of academic success in the upcoming years.

School Goals
