Message from the Director 

Welcome to the Evergreen Instruction Department. The Instruction Department’s goal is to ensure that all students achieve their fullest academic potential. To meet the educational needs of each child, we offer a comprehensive, integrated curriculum focused on the knowledge and processes students need for success in school and life. The Evergreen Elementary School District bases instruction on the California State Standards for English/Language Arts, Mathematics, History-Social Science, Science and Physical Education.

The Instruction Department works closely with school sites to ensure that the highest quality curriculum, instructional materials and learning environments are provided to all our students. Instruction provides staff development opportunities for all staff, administers and monitors local and state assessments, oversees textbook adoptions and continuously reviews state standards in order to enhance instruction and increase student learning.
